Monrovia Asphalt Paving was founded in 2019 in Monrovia, California, by a crew that had spent years watching homeowners get burned by contractors who cut corners on base prep, skipped permits, and disappeared after collecting payment. The San Gabriel Valley deserved better.
Monrovia is a city with deep roots. A large share of the homes here were built between the 1920s and the 1950s - craftsman bungalows, Spanish-style stucco houses, older ranch homes with driveways that have been patched and repatched for decades. The foothill properties up near Monrovia Canyon Park face their own challenges: sloped lots, runoff from the San Gabriel Mountains, and the expansive clay soils that shift with every wet and dry cycle.
